6th annual conference “WindWorks 2026”

23 December, 2025
Vēja enerģijas asociācija

Latvian Wind Energy Association, Estonian Wind Power Association and Lithuanian Wind Power Association are inviting you to the 6th annual conference “WindWorks 2026” which will be held on the 9th of April, 2026 in Riga (ATTA Conference Centre, 60 Krasta street).

The three Baltic States share many similarities, yet they have taken markedly different paths in the development of wind energy. Lithuania has emerged as the regional leader, with around 2,500 MW of installed wind capacity, followed by Estonia with approximately 700 MW, while Latvia remains at an early stage with about 137 MW. All three countries have set ambitious targets for 2030: Lithuania aims to reach 4,500 MW, Estonia 1,900 MW, and Latvia 1,500 MW of installed wind capacity.

This uneven progress offers valuable lessons. The real potential of the Baltic wind energy industry lies in scale and collaboration. The Baltic Sea offers strong conditions for offshore wind, while onshore resources remain underutilized in parts of the region. By aligning regulations, investing in grids and storage, and building a regional supply chain, the Baltics can not only meet their own energy needs but also become competitive exporters of clean electricity and related technologies.

WindWorks 2026 is your opportunity to take part in Baltic’s most anticipated energy conference. Join leading experts, policymakers, and industry stakeholders for insightful keynote speeches, high-level panel discussions, and interactive exchanges on the most pressing topics:

  • Policy updates on Baltic wind power
  • Grid development and system integration
  • The offshore wind value proposition in the Baltics
  • Benefits of wind energy for regions and municipalities
  • Financing opportunities and new energy offtakes
  • Powering Security: The Role of Wind Energy
  • What it really takes to build a wind farm in the Baltics?

The conference is designed to foster meaningful dialogue, knowledge sharing, and new partnerships that accelerate wind energy development in the region.

WindWorks 2026 is tailored for:

  • Industry professionals and experts in onshore and offshore wind energy
  • Government representatives and policymakers shaping energy regulation
  • Investors and financial institutions focused on green energy projects
  • Environmental organizations and sustainability stakeholders
  • Academic and research institutions working on wind energy technologies and impact assessments
